Sólstafir Band Website
Sólstafir are an atmospheric rock band from Reykjavik, Iceland. Using the Expression Engine CMS we designed and developed a fully responsive mobile-friendly band website to keep fans up to date on tour dates and other news. The band site features photo and video galleries and an embedded Twitter feed. The Live section uses the BandsinTown api to import tour date information and republish it natively through the band website. This has a significant effect on search engine optimisation as it ensures that the site ranks highly for all of the latest tour venue, date and location search phrases which is essential for a band that tours internationally. The sites monochrome design colour palette was derived from the black and white aesthetic of the record cover of their most recent release, Ótta.
Liam approached me at a time when the website was in dire need of remodelling. His visions of what could be, sold me instantly and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
